With Riot’s new opt-in feature for League’s post-game lobby, it will now be players’ choice to select whether or not they want to see the end-game chat
Riot’s new opt-in feature allows players to select whether or not to join in the end-game chat. The newly introduced opt-in feature for League’s post-game dashboard is now available, offering players the opportunity to examine game data without the chat.
Muting in-game and even post-game was, and still is, the easiest way to avoid toxicity. However, there was no option to disable post-game chat. People are usually the most toxic in the post-game lobby. Riot, on the other hand, is finally integrating an opt-in feature for end-of-game chat.
Players must opt-in to chat in the post-game lobby with patch 12.11, which is now live. Opt-in chat indicates that the conversation option will be disabled by default on a post-game screen. Players can bring up communications with other players in the game by clicking the chat bar or pressing enter; otherwise, it will be hidden by default.
So, if you have a “GG” and want to see your opponent’s reaction post-game, you may do so easily. Or if not, you can just leave the lobby without doing anything.
So far, the feedback from the League community has been positive. People are asking why Riot took so long to make such a change. Despite some (not much) criticism of the opt-in feature, they claim that players who do not wish to view post-game chat should leave the lobby rather than having to ‘Opt-in’ after each game to communicate.
Patch 12.11 does contain plenty of balance and performance updates to make things operate more effectively for players. Fans also got their first glimpse at League’s newest champion, Bel’Veth, as well as her skin, Battle Boss Bel’Veth.
