This celebration, or Chinese New Year, is a traditional festival in China and is one of the major cultural festivities at the start of each year.
Some of the most popular skins created in honor of Lunar New Year include fan favorites like Firecracker, Warring Kingdoms, Lunar Wraith, and Lunar Beasts. These skin lines capture the rich imagery and symbolism of Lunar New Year with unique designs that players enjoy each year.
League of Legends 2025 Mythmaker skins
A few years ago, Riot introduced a new skin line called Mythmaker, which also celebrated Lunar New Year with a fresh, festive look. While these skins were well-received and had a traditional New Year style, players thought other skins at the time were higher quality. Then, last year, Riot released a new Lunar New Year skin line called Heavenscale, which was considered a step up from Mythmaker in terms of detail and design quality. The Heavenscale skins had a unique flair that many players admired.
Although Riot did not release any new Mythmaker skins last year, a recent leak from BigBadBear hints that the Mythmaker skin line might be making a comeback in early 2025. Here’s a list of all the leaked Mythmaker 2025 skins coming to League of Legends:

- Jarvan IV
- Sett
- Nami
- Cassiopeia
- Prestige Edition Cassiopeia
According to the leaks, there’s a chance that either Jhin or Jarvan IV will receive a legendary skin within this Mythmaker 2025 line, adding even more value to the collection. Additionally, there may also be a mythic variant of one of the past Lunar New Year skins, which would offer a special, high-quality version of a favorite design from previous years.
In terms of release timing, these new skins are expected to become available around patch 15.2, which would fall close to the start of the Lunar New Year season.
