As the release of Arcane Season 2 draws closer, recent leaks indicate that a Legendary Arcane Vi skin is on its way to League of Legends.
Back in November 2021, Riot Games launched a Netflix series inspired by the League of Legends universe, called Arcane. The show was a huge hit, gaining widespread praise in every area, from its storyline to its animation style.
During the release of the show, Riot also hosted several in-game events. Alongside these events, they introduced a series of in-game missions that filled with Arcane-themed skins for free. These included Arcane Jayce, Arcane Vi, Arcane Jinx, and Arcane Caitlyn.
Fast forward to the present, Riot recently teased and officially announced the upcoming Arcane Season 2, including providing its release date.
On another front, Riot also revealed a Hextech-themed patch for Wild Rift, their mobile version of League of Legends. In this patch, they introduced Ambessa Medarda, an Arcane-themed champion. It’s important to note that this champion will also be making her debut in League of Legends PC.
Similar to the original season’s launch, we can expect to see more Arcane-themed skins when Arcane Season 2 is released. According to recent leaks, one of these skins will be a Legendary Arcane Vi skin. Although most of the skins coming during the Arcane Season 2 event haven’t been revealed, the leaks strongly suggest that a new Vi skin is definitely on the way, and it will be a legendary one.
From the teasers and trailers that have been released so far, we’ve already seen Vi sporting a fresh, distinctive appearance. In the upcoming season of Arcane, she’s likely to showcase even more varied designs.
However, it’s still unclear how exactly she will look in this upcoming skin. Since Vi hasn’t yet received a legendary skin, there’s a good chance that this one will be quite impressive, especially as it will be part of the Arcane skin line.
At this time, there is no official release date for this new skin. However, it is widely speculated that it may be released around patch 14.23 or 14.24, which are set to arrive on November 20, 2024, and December 11, 2024, respectively.
