In early 2023, the nine-tailed fox may receive a new skin as part of the Mythic Content Overhaul Phase 3
Ahri is one of League of Legends’ most popular female champions. Her popularity has grown even more with the mid-scope update she received earlier this year.
And now, popular leaker Big Bad Bear has offered intriguing info that may pique the attention of Ahri fans even more. There appears to be a potential that she may soon receive either a PROJECT or a Prestige edition skin.
Apparently, a data miner named Julex Gameplays just discovered information on PROJECT Ahri inside the game files. Obviously, this might be temporary, but the leaker believes she will get a new skin in late 2022 or early 2023.
Ahri’s new skin might correlate with her impending ASU in League of Legends 2023
As is commonly known at this time, Ahri will receive an ASU, most likely in early 2023, according to the recent Dev vlog. It will essentially give Ahri a more polished appearance, as her in-game model is really old and dull.
The devs emphasized during their recent vlog that the ASU will also include upgrading her existing skins in addition to her base model. This info fits in nicely with the leak indicating that a PROJECT skin is on the way.
Obviously, it’s still a long shot because the skin information was obtained from this year’s game files. However, if the devs really want to offer an Ahri skin under that skin line, there’s a high possibility that they will also include other champions as well. This is due to the PROJECT skinline being one of the most popular in the community.
Nonetheless, just because it is not coming out in 2022 does not indicate that the PROJECT skin will not be returning in 2023. The leaker is convinced that the skin is not a placeholder and that a new skin is on the way, albeit the timeframe is uncertain.
