Spanish squad Team Heretics is debuting their first ever LEC lineup in 2023 after acquiring Misfits Gaming’s slot in the franchise.
Heretics will be an interesting dark horse in LEC
Filled with household regional talents like Jankos and Evi, the team is expected to be one of the enigmas of European LoL. Jankos transferred from G2 after a not-so-stellar season while Evi made a bold career move from Japanese LJL after an impressive performance at Worlds 2022.
Jackspektra is the only remaining player from Heretic’s previous Spanish LVP roster, while Mersa is the sole remnant from Misfits Gaming’s departed lineup. And then there’s Ruby, the essential Korean ingredient for LoL success.

They will have to compete against the likes of G2 esports, Fnatic, Team Vitality, MAD Lions, Team Vitality and KOI (former Rogue and the only Western team to make it out of Worlds 2022 groups)
