Lil Nas X resigned, President of LoL era is over after 6 weeks

Rapper and pop singer Lil Nas X has resigned from his fictitious, entirely made-up position as the “President of League of Legends” after six weeks in the position. In an effort to publicize a number of partnerships between himself and the video game company, including a new song and in-game skin for League’s next champion, K’Sante, Lil Nas X was given the position of President of League by Riot.

Lil Nas X wrote the new League anthem “STAR WALKIN'” for the marketing campaign that featured him in close association with Riot. The song made its premiere last month to mixed receptions; it has been the theme music for this year’s League World Championship.

The song will be performed by Lil Nas X at the World Championship finals’ opening ceremony on November 5. Jackson Wang, a rapper, and producer, will also make a performance at the occasion.

“I know you’re wondering, Nas, how they’re going to beat last year when they essentially entered Arcane. Or that fake K-Pop group? Or perhaps that dragon they managed to train to soar around the stadium with? In his made-up resignation speech, Lil Nas X posed this query to the assembled Riot employees. “Let me explain. Me.”
