Linkin Park’s Worlds 2024 video features King Faker facing off LoL superstars from around the globe

A champion will be crowned at the League of Legends Worlds 2024 finals in November, but for now, Faker holds the title of king.

At least, that’s the storyline presented in this year’s Worlds anthem music video. Released today, the video for “Heavy is The Crown” by Linkin Park is nothing short of spectacular.

The animation style is visually stunning, drawing clear inspiration from Arcane, with a throne room scene where the band plays while Faker and his T1 team reign supreme.

But Faker isn’t the only pro to receive this special animated treatment. Outside the throne room, a horde of challengers approaches, featuring prominent players like Caps from G2 and Massu from FlyQuest, among others.

The video portrays these pros battling in a medieval-themed world, armed with fun, imaginative weapons. The throne room is soon under attack, leading to an epic scene where T1 steps out to confront their challengers—much like they will face all competitors in the Worlds 2024 tournament.

As for the song itself, it’s a hit. Combining Linkin Park vibes with some fresh elements, it’s further elevated by a powerful scream from their vocalist. The iconic band promises to deliver an unforgettable performance at the Worlds 2024 Finals on November 2

Where “Heavy is The Crown” stands among previous Worlds anthems is a matter of debate, but the video is an instant favorite, and the song is undeniably energetic. It’s also part of the band’s upcoming album From Zero, which is set for release on November 15th.
