League of Legends’ fan-favorite game mode, Nexus Blitz, is finally here in 2023.
Before League of Legends enthusiasts embraced the game’s latest mode, Arena, Riot Games experimented with a unique concept known as Nexus Blitz. This dynamic game mode introduced various mechanics to the chaotic 5vs5 experience, offering a refreshing twist to the game before concluding in 2018. However, Riot has now confirmed that Nexus Blitz is making a comeback sooner than anticipated.
Nexus Blitz, League’s exclusive experimental game mode, made its debut in season 8 and later returned in season 10. With over 5 years since its last availability, players who recently embarked on their Summoner’s Rift journey will get to experience the unpredictable and fast-paced gameplay for the first time.
Nexus Blitz is making a return for a limited time, promising the usual madness and excitement that summoners have grown to enjoy, complete with unpredictable events that are sure to bring both joy and chaos.
While part of the fun is stumbling upon these events during gameplay, it’s also a good idea to familiarize yourself with some of the random events that will spice up your matches. Here’s a list of all the in-game events you can encounter in Nexus Blitz.
Bardle Royale (Classic)
Engage in a fight for survival within a fiery, encroaching circle on the map. The last team standing wins.
Bardle Royale (Paranoia)
Participate in a fiery circle of combat where everyone’s vision is limited, resembling Nocturne’s ultimate ability. The last team remaining wins.
Bardle Royale (Juggernaut)
Battle for survival within the fiery circle while a random champion on each team receives a substantial health boost and the On Fire! buff at the event’s outset. Just a reminder, the On Fire! buff provides bonus attack speed, adaptive power, and enhanced mana/energy regeneration but makes you more susceptible to damage. The last team standing wins.
URF Deathmatch
Step into URF mode with an entourage of cheering minions! Secure victory by defeating the opposing team in a best-of-three showdown.
Loot Teemo
A wandering Loot Teemo makes unpredictable appearances on the map. Striking the Loot Teemo rewards players with gold. The team that lands the final blow on Teemo claims the event.
Loot Veigar
A wandering Loot Veigar also makes unexpected appearances, utilizing Dark Matter and Event Horizon while attempting to evade capture. Hitting the Loot Veigar awards players with gold, and the team that delivers the final blow emerges as the event’s victor.
Push the Cart (Classic)
Stand close to the cart to escort it toward the nearest enemy structure and destroy it.
Push the Cart (Attack / Defend)
Engage in a race with your opponents to see who can demolish an enemy structure the fastest, with both teams having a cart at their disposal.
Prize Fight
Both teams face off in a series of rounds, participating in battles of 2v2 and 1v1.
King of the Hill
A specific area of the map is designated as “the hill.” Lay claim to this position and repel the enemy team to secure victory.
Scuttle Racing
Two scuttles dash down a track (or scuttle down, as the case may be). One scuttle represents each team, and the first scuttle to reach the finish line secures victory for its team.
Protect the Soraka
Two Soraka bots enter the lane, but only one will emerge victorious, as one team strives to overpower the other.
DPS Check
It’s similar to practice mode, but you must outperform your opponent’s practice on the same Teemo dummy.
This exciting game mode are already available on October 24, 2023, and is set to conclude on November 27, 2023.
