New LoL exploit allows players to gain ‘infinite’ attack damage

Due to an absurd interaction between two augments in the new LoL Arena mode, players are now faced with infinite scaling combo.

Riot Games’ newest game mode in LoL has been a big hit. The 2v2v2v2 Arena mode has brought back a love for the game that many thoughts had faded, quickly becoming a popular game mode among many players. Arena combines the spectacular fighting of League of Legends with many new features like Augments and Cameos, thrusting players immediately into the battle.

Insane LoL Arena augments exploit

The strength of the augment is determined by the tier, with prismatic level augments drastically altering how you play the game. Combining these augments is also essential to winning the game.

This is precisely what occurred to several players who got both Warmup Routine and Master of Duality in LoL Arena. Warmup Routine casts a summoner spell that forces the player to channel, and for every second they channel, they earn a damage boost for that round. Master of Duality provides players attack damage and ability power when they perform abilities.

These augments aren’t insignificant on their own, but their actual impact comes when they’re combined.

Warmup Routine has no cooldown, allowing players to resume channelling the spell as soon as they are interrupted. The channelling player can also cancel the ability themselves, however it will be recast as soon as the button is pressed.

This is completely broken because Master of Duality suggests that the player has longer cooldowns, but with Warmup Routine, they can just hammer the button to farm AD in bulk. A massive amount of AD fundamentally unbalances League of Legends, allowing champions who master the stat to outright one-shot opponents.

According to the comments on the Reddit post, the author of the post said that he encountered a 3000 AD Kayn, while another player claimed that he too exploited the augments, reaching 2000 AD on Urgot.

Given LoL’s gamemode Arena’s popularity, Riot is likely to delete this interaction. However, until then, players can go crazy with the insane amounts of AD given by this Augments interaction.
