In League of Legends season 13, the jungle role has experienced numerous adjustments, but imbalances still exist. As a consequence, the devs are adding new adjustments to patch 13.5 to further balance the position. These adjustments will affect the sweeper’s cooldown, the experience that junglers receive from lanes, and the gold that they receive from jungle camps.
With more gold coming from camps, players will be able to acquire items more quickly, so the goal of these adjustments is to motivate players to complete clears. However, the damage reduction that was present when entering the opposing jungle will no longer be present, which should lead to more invasions.
League jungle changes in Patch 13.5
On February 27, Riot Phlox revealed a number of reversion adjustments. Some of the nerfs may be partially turned back, according to him.
- Sweeper CD: 90-60 >>> 120-60 (based on avg level in the game)
- Enemy jungle damage reduction: 20% >>>>>> [REMOVED]
- Jungler Lane Experience for first 14m: 75% >>>> 40-75% based on gametime (linear scaling from 00:00)
- Gold per camp (usually 10, some 9, some 11)
- Gromp: 70 >>> 80
- Blue: 80 >>> 90
- Murkwolf: 50 >>> 55
- Minimurky: 13 >>> 15
- Razorbeak: 30 >>> 35
- Mini Razor: 7 >>> 8
- Red: 80 >>> 90
- MedKrug: 5 >>> 10
- LilKrug: 13 >>> 14
It is therefore safe to assume that the developers will significantly alter the role in the forthcoming patch. The sweeper’s initial level delay has been extended as the first significant update.
This stops players from using it carelessly to clear their eyesight in the early going. In other words, it greatly strengthens the visual game and contributes to the disclosure of more details about the enemy jungler. Invasion is also more feasible with the opposed jungle damage reduction removed.
But the devs have also changed the gold that can be earned from each camp. Because of these adjustments, League of Legends players are now encouraged to emphasize complete clears rather than leaving half for ganking.
In addition, early-game jungler experience from lanes has been reduced, making it harder for them to hide in bushes for ganks.
These adjustments are anticipated in League Patch 13.5, which will be released on March 8th. Over the course of the next week or so, more champion and item buffs, nerfs, and adjustments will undoubtedly be tested on the League PBE.
