Prepare for a feline frenzy as a new skinline titled “Primal Ambush” will be unveiled in an upcoming update that goes beyond the realms of Rengar’s lurking presence.
The PBE has recently received an update, not only injecting a batch of new emotes into the game but also inadvertently leaking the aforementioned skinline, along with the champions slated to join the primal ambush.
According to file names on the PBE, champions such as Talon, Riven, Vi, and Sivir are expected to embrace their inner instincts and become part of the “Primal Ambush” skinline. While these champions have been teased, indications on the PBE suggest that additional champions may also join this pack.
From the glimpses offered by the icons, it’s apparent that each champion has undergone a transformation into cat-like beasts, adorned with markings that hint at their affiliation with a tribal hunting aesthetic.
As the Primal Ambush is a newly introduced skinline, the full models of the champions sporting these skins have yet to be unveiled, leaving room for speculation about the battle-tested, tattered features that will bring out their primordial fierceness.
Beyond the skins themselves, the PBE update suggests that these Primal Ambush skins will come with borders, although the method of acquisition remains unclear. Whether they will be part of a purchasable bundle or tied to an unannounced event pass is yet to be revealed.
Although the official unveiling of these skins is pending, it is unlikely that they will debut alongside Patch 14.1. This is due to the anticipation surrounding the previously teased additions to the Dragonmancer skinline, expected to make their debut in the first patch of the year.
Consequently, fans can anticipate the Primal Ambush skins making their mark on live servers in Patch 14.2, which is tentatively scheduled for release around January 17th.
