Players believed that the new Mythic change to Infinity Edge has brought its power down, is this the case?
The Infinity Edge is one of the most recognisable items in the game for a long time. It’s the power spike for ADC champions, but since Riot chose to re-classify it as Mythic as of patch 13.10, it’s slipped behind all the other new items, and even pre-existing Mythic items. Every other AD Mythic item is superior to IE, according to LoL players.
Infinity Edge Mythic item
- Attack Damage: 70.
- Critical Strike Chance: 20%.
- Critical Strike Damage: 35%.
- Mythic Passive: Grants all other Legendary items 5 Attack Damage.
The updated stats of Infinity Edge are roughly the same as the old ones, but it now includes a legendary passive that grants 5 AD to all of your other Legendary items.
Players have remarked how frustrating Infinity Edge has been as a mythic, and that the new and improved Youmuu’s Ghostblade is a far better option for most ADCs, despite the fact that Ghostblade is considered an assassin’s item.
Even champions that appear to desire to build IE, like Jhin, Miss Fortune, or Twitch, will prefer Ghostblade, Galeforce, or even Rageblade more.
Because Infinity Edge is regarded as the crit item, several players believe that the item’s mythic passive should be modified to provide even higher crit chance or crit damage. Riot appears to have tested the increased crit damage per legendary item but opted against releasing it.
Others have proposed just giving the item an active, similar to Galeforce, with increased damage for a few seconds or a speed boost.
Overall, it appears that no one wants to buy Infinity Edge right now, and the item has fallen out of favour. It was usually a third or fourth purchase for most players, but with LoL Patch 13.10, it’s become one of the least relied on items.
