Riot Games has officially revealed the next reward for League of Legends Season 14 Split 2, which is the Victorious Sona skin.
Earlier this year, Riot introduced several major changes to the ranked system in League of Legends. These updates included improvements to matchmaking and stricter penalties for poor behavior, but the biggest change was splitting the season into 3 separate parts.
Each season now features 3 ranked splits, with each split offering its own set of rewards, including a new Victorious skin. The first of these skins, Victorious Kog’Maw, was released earlier in the season. Now, with Split 2 coming to an end, Riot has unveiled the second Victorious skin, which is for Sona.
How to Get Victorious Sona
The process of earning this season’s Victorious skins is a bit different compared to previous years.
Players who want to get the Victorious Sona skin for free will need to play in ranked mode and reach a specific reward threshold. For players who are ranked Silver or below, the goal is to accumulate 1000 Split Points (SP). However, for players who are ranked Gold or higher, they only need to earn 80 SP to unlock the skin. In addition to this, players who are above Gold will also receive chromas for the skin, with the color of the chroma depending on their rank.
As of now, Riot Games has not confirmed an official release date for Victorious Sona. However, it is expected that the skin will become available shortly after the release of Patch 14.19. This patch is scheduled to drop on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, so the skin will likely be released sometime after this date.
Overall, Victorious Sona will be a coveted reward for ranked players this season, especially for those looking to show off their accomplishments in Split 2.
