‘LoL Worlds most shameful record’ – A player set a new record at Worlds 2022, but it’s too tragic

So far, League of Legends Worlds 2022 has been a fantastic tournament.  We’ve witnessed some amazing games in the Groups Stage and Play-ins.

The Groups Stage received a lot of attention and created a lot of excitement for the Quarterfinals, thus, leading to the forthcoming Semifinals.

While the World Championship this year is the finest time and place to see some amazing records, it is not always the case. The most recent reported record concerns a Chinese support player, and it’s a really unpleasant record.

RNG support set a new record at Worlds

According to MoleculeLoL’s recent tweet, we now know that Royal Never Give Up’s support player, Shi “Ming” Sen-Ming, has set the record for the slowest damage done in a Worlds game.

RNG Ming, who played Nautilus in RNG’s game versus T1, scored his first damage to a champion at 21:06.

Although this is a disappointing record to achieve in your professional gaming career, it’s tough to blame Ming for not inflicting more damage earlier in the game because he was playing against Ashe and Heimerdinger, a recent off-meta rise that can have strong poke potential that is extremely difficult to punish in any circumstances.

On top of that, Heimerdinger has previously been chosen as a counter to Nautilus in LCK since his turrets may function as a unit to prevent his hook, also, Heimer can kite Nautilus easily with all of his 3 annoying abilities.

While this is a bad record to achieve, you can’t blame Ming totally, but rather the coaching staff because RNG chose Nautilus after Ashe and Heimerdinger.
