LPL had to cancel a game due to Hextech Flashtraption bug

It seems that besides the “bug king” Viego, Riot is preparing to face a new “headache” called Hextech Flashtraption.

In the third game of the series between EDward Gaming (EDG) and Bilibili Gaming, as part of the second day of the 2021 LPL Summer Split, there was a long delay that it was not until nearly 10:30 p.m (PST) that the match ended with a tilted win for EDG.

It was later revealed that Meiko’s Leona was unable to use Hextech Flashtraption and had to urgently notify the tournament organizers.

After a while, the LPL organizers decided to remake the entire 3rd game, including the ban/pick phase. At the same time, the tournament organizers also strictly prohibit the use of Hextech Flashtraption, at least in this 3rd game.

On the LoL forums, it is said that this error is not new. Players themselves have encountered it quite a few times not only Leona but almost any champion who uses Hextech Flashtraption will also be able to encounter this bug. According to many gamers, this error is quite serious, and depending on the luck that can be used once, this spell will be “stagnant” or can not use the whole game.

A video uploaded by Vandiril also pointed to this bug. And in particular, this error is not new to appear but has existed for a long time, however, it has not been noticed by Riot.

Due to a new error appearing in the 3rd Game of the final match of the second day of the 2021 LPL Summer Split, Riot has not yet issued any feedback. However, the players will likely have to limit the use of Hextech Flashtraption until Riot fixes the error.
