Among all the fanship “couples” in League of Legends, such as Garen x Katarina, Wukong x Ahri, Zed x Syndra, etc., only Garen and Katarina’s relationship is officially confirmed by Riot Games.
Besides Garen and Kat, Ezreal and Lux are also one of the most famous fanship couples in the League of Legends that Riot kind of mention about their relationship.
If you pay attention, you will see Ezreal has special interaction/taunt/joke with Lux in-game.
Not only Lux that Ezreal’s special interaction with, but also her older brother, Garen as well.
If you play Ezreal at the Howling Abyss, the shop owner from the Red side, says something along the lines of “Ezreal, is it true what I’ve heard about you and LuxSquare Miss Crownguard?” meaning that it’s a widely spread idea that they’re dating.
Besides, they also have Star Guardians and Battle Academia skins together. If you pay attention to the League of Legends’ champion Bio, you will see that Lux and Ezreal are in the “related-champion.”
If you notice, Zoe also has special interactions with Ezreal as well and she mentioned that Lux is his girlfriend, or at least she thinks Lux is.
However, if you see Zoe’s interaction with Lux, you can clearly tell that only Ezreal has a crush on Lux. This is such a sad love story between these three.
Back to Lux and Ezreal, even with the new card game (Legends of Runeterra), Ezreal’s interaction shows that he really likes Lux.
However, all these interactions from Ezreal do not prove that this relationship comes from both sides. Ezreal might be in a one-sided relationship.
The truth is, Lux never met Ezreal? At least that’s what she said when she sees Ezreal in-game.
And Garen seems like he is not going to approve this relationship anytime soon in League of Runterra…
Side story, if you have seen the Aatrox promo video (New Aatrox vs Old Aatrox), there is a picture of Ezreal sitting with Lux through Ezreal’s Adventure Journey; however, this is only a drawing of Ezreal’s.
So, Are Ezreal and Lux really dating?
The answer is, unfortunately, No.
According to different LoL Universes (Star Guardians and Battle Academia), Ezreal and Lux might have met and might be in a relationship, but not in the main universe in League of Legends or League of Runterra.
