Many streamers’ accounts were permanently suspended due to unintentionally received free gift

Riot has locked a series of accounts that get free skin.

About two weeks ago, some players managed to find out an exploit in League’s clients. Then they take advantage of the bug to send gifts like skins to one another without costing RP, and even to others who are not on their friend list.

As a result, Riot Games has tracked gamers who took advantage of the game error and permanently banned accounts of those who sent or got free gifts. But, ironically, Riot “left them all locked than to let one escape” since they also locked innocent people’s accounts in this purge.

As these players can give gifts to anyone without losing RP, thus many favorite streamers are no exception in this case. And hence, such streamers, whether unintentionally or deliberately taking those gifts, are all permanently suspended from their accounts, as they are considered to be players profiting from game error.

Once the accounts have been falsely locked, many streamers have expressed their anger by complaining to Riot to explain and request to unlock. Unfortunately, all were rejected by Riot; in addition, DarkwinJax has contacted Riot Games Support three times, and still has no expected results. If Riot did not have the proper response, a large number of fans of these streamers would be extremely angry.
