The Maokai – Ivern duo will make you fall into a state of depression.
League of Legends has various lineups and among them do not necessarily depend on any meta. Besides Caitlyn and Morgana’s duo that can make you want to leave the game, the super poke duo such as Swain and Seraphine are equally annoying. However, if these long-ranged duo champions are too familiar, let’s try out Maokai and Ivern.
It is somewhat difficult to play the game since the bottom lane is crowded with a “forest” and full of lurking dangers. Maokai and Ivern might not seem dangerous at all, but only at the very first levels. When it comes to level 3, Ivern is now able to plant brushes enable Maokai to flings a Sapling and place it in the brush.
Maokai’s job now is dashing and rooting the target enemy, while Ivern is behind buffing the armor and deal the damage. Since both reach level 6, the enemy ADC will, even more, suffer from being rooted and tower diving continuously. From the video posted on Reddit, Vayne and Alistar were pushed to the second tower even though they just reached level 6.
In addition, there is another champion that also works very well with Ivern that is Rengar. This combo was used by two T1 players, Faker and Canna at the 2020 League of Legends All-Star.
