Criticized for Inept Game Balancing, Riot Ceo Admitted: “The Game Is Just a Ruse to Promote Our MVs”.

The “shocking” truth about Riot had been unveiled.

Riot is always well-known for bad ballancing issues in League of Legends, nowsaday, people probably know them as a music producer, not a video game design company anymore.

Response to the community, recently, Riot CEONicolo, tweeted a post on twitter saying: “Please do not share our secrets… Yes we are a music company making video games as a marketing tool”. Of course it’s a just a joke from the developer but it might be true one day.

It’s a secret between us okay. Do not tell anyone!

Since 2014, after the successful of Warriors (featured by Imagine Dragons) – the main theme song of World Championship Season 4, the LOL media team day by day proved their talent and premiered more and more high quality, attention-grabed contents such as K/DA – POP/STARS, True Damage, Champion Teasers, etc. There aren’t much things we can complain about their products, they are fun, creative and beautiful. Recently, they also received lots of hate when they nerfed Akali in patch 10.3 (4th Febuary, 2020). Destroyed the effort of K/DA – POP/STARS has built to deepen the relationship between Akali and Akali main players.

In contrast, the problem of balancing champions, elements, etc in League of Legends hardly gets any appreciation from gamers. Champions with new mechanic either too overpowerful or too weak. Even a few champions are too strong to be nerfed, Riot have to rework them again and again in order to remain balance. The way these champions break the game and players are abusing it make every single match in LOL is really… not fun anymore. On top of it, aside from the original, tradition famous 5v5 gamemode, all the event modes that Riot ever made was usually not rated highly by the community (TFT and URF might be an exception).

It might be the reason why Riot Games is blamed for making better creative media contents even better than their original start – video game maker. In our opinions, we sympathize Riot. Even though, Riot knows that there’re huge problems in their balane department, they have to keep in that way to attract new players, therefore, the community will grow bigger and wider, influencing many players all around the world. Comparing to the statue of MOBA – DoTA 2, LOL has a significant amount of newcomers and much higher players coming back to LOL everyday (we still can’t stand Wukong and Sylas, these guys are broken as heck).
