Morgana exceeded as Mage Jungler after LoL Patch 13.21 changes

In League of Legends Patch 13.21, a series of adjustments were introduced, and among the notable changes were the subtle buffs to Morgana. While these changes might have appeared minor on the surface, they proved to be more than sufficient to propel her to new heights in the jungle of solo queue play.

Originally conceived as a versatile champion, capable of excelling in both the support and mid-lane roles, Morgana’s transformation has been nothing short of remarkable. Nowadays, she has emerged as a dominant force within the jungle, establishing herself as one of the most sought-after picks, particularly among high-ranking players. In fact, Morgana currently boasts a 54.93% win rate in the Master and above tiers, firmly securing her position as the top-performing jungler, according to statistics from U.GG.

Yet, her ascent isn’t confined solely to the competitive play. In Platinum rank, she claims the title of the 6-best jungler in terms of win rate, standing at a commendable 51.14%. Even in Silver tier, she maintains her state, achieving a noteworthy win rate of 52.07%.

What makes Morgana’s rise in the jungle role particularly intriguing is that the buffs she received in the recent patch were by no means game-breaking. The primary tweak was to her Tormented Shadow (W) ability, which saw a modest increase in its magic damage per second.

Additionally, her damage modifier against monsters received a minor 5% buff. While these adjustments certainly bolstered her efficiency in jungle clearing, they also amplified her capacity to inflict damage on the enemies, particularly when paired with her Dark Binding (Q) ability.

This modest yet strategic set of changes significantly elevated Morgana’s performance in solo queue. In the prior Patch 13.20, before these modifications were implemented, she was crowned as the 10th worst jungler in the Master and above ranks, sporting a lackluster 48.36% win rate, as per U.GG’s data.

However, her journey from mediocrity to jungle dominance underscores the profound impact that even seemingly minor adjustments can have in the ever-evolving landscape of League of Legends.
