New patch 12.14 honor system

Six champions are nerfed, seven are buffed, five are changed, and a new batch of Star Guardian skins are added in League of Legends patch 12.14.

You might have missed the minor adjustment Riot Games made to their behavioral system while you were enjoying (or maligning) the rare and incredibly obnoxious Teemo buff.

Unexpectedly, the game’s creators opted to make the in-game honor system more open, which can have an impact on your relationships with other League of Legends teammates.

New feature to the honor system in patch 12.14

You will now be able to see which teammates honored you if you hover over the honor icon at the end of game screen.

There are occasions when certain members of a five stack must give up their primary Ranked Flex function in order to make room for others. Other times, players could believe they made a significant difference in the outcome and should be praised for their pivotal performance.

If you ignore all the bad remarks, the most frequently heard phrase in the post-game lobby is “Honor me!”.

The problem is that, for all these years, LoL players only know the number of honors they might get following a game, which is limited to four. No other details are provided, and we were unable to determine which teammates honored us.

That all changes with Patch 12.14; for the time being, you may see exactly who honored you by hovering your cursor over the honor icon on the post-game screen. Because all honor information is completely exposed, AD carries, you will no longer be able to get away with breaking a promise you made to your support that you would honor them.

Ten years ago, in October 2012, the honor system was initially implemented as a way to encourage improved player conduct. Riot Games has been enhancing its system over time by including better prizes like orbs, chests, and cosmetics.

Most recently, Honor Level 5 players gained a unique animation recall that is either temporary if they were the most honored player in their most recent match or permanent if they reached level five.
