Design director of Riot – Andrei “Meddler” van Roon discussed a new type of skin called “Quest Skin” on his Twitter:
“We are testing a new skin type (not a new skin tier with a different price) that will be purchasable in the near future,” Meddler said. “It’ll have some new features with specific technical needs which is why we need to have it on PBE and tested in advance.”
But when is this “near future” and what “technical needs” were not expanded by Meddler. He just said that it will be on PBE “soon”. All that we can do is wait and hope.
In my opinion, I predict that it would be the same with Eternals, but for skins. Like, if you achieve something, you will unlock more effects on the skin. I am thinking about when I have Pentakills with Kayle she will unlock new Wings till the end of the match. As we can see on its name, these Skins will depend on quests (in-match or over the course of many games), and players must complete quests in order to have skins.
That is all we know about Quest Skins until now, but this is potentially a fun mini-game to all players.
