LoL players noticed that League’s Discord integration has been secretly updated
League of Legends has gotten a number of compatibility improvements with Discord throughout the years to improve players’ experience. Around 2018, the widely used Discord app included the option for League players to view if a friend was playing, how long they were playing, and which champion they were playing.
There have been little improvements to the integration between those 2 since then, until recently. Players have discovered some interesting and new capabilities accessible to them on the Discord application.
This was first shown by a Reddit user on the official LoL subreddit, PixelHir, who found a secret Discord/LoL featured. He revealed screenshots demonstrating they could now invite other players to join in the lobby straight using the Discord app. They also observed the option to ‘ask to join’ another lobby, as well as a new feature allowing players to ask an entire channel to join in their game.
