Preseason 2023: Riot is updating a Mythic item to ‘Still-Beating Strength’

Riot is changing one of the new Mythics, Goliath’s Ascendancy, in League of Legends to Still-Beating Strength

As we reach the League of Legends preseason, we can see what changes are on the way. Riot usually attempts to shake things up in the preseason to give the game a new appearance.

Preseason 2023 will be no different since there will be multiple changes and updates. There are a few Mythic items among these, as well as new and upgraded old ones, as well as Legendary items. We’re receiving new items like Icathia’s Endurance, reworked Archangel’s Staff, the comeback of Rod of Ages, and many more.

The name of one of the new items, Goliath’s Ascendancy, is changing since Riot has modified it on the PBE. This is what we know so far about the item.

Still-Beating Strength replaces Goliath’s Ascendancy on the PBE

The initial item’s name was Goliath’s Ascendancy, which is one of the upcoming Mythic tank items. According to Spideraxe, the item will be renamed to Still-Beating Strength.

For now, this is an odd name to update because the players don’t find the name to be suited in the concept. It also sounds weird when spoken.

Riot, on the other hand, has changed item names and images much too frequently in the PBE. So, while the name has been changed to something unusual, the item may be given a different name before it is released.

Still-Beating Strength’s stats, effects, and build path stay the same, therefore there isn’t much change. The item is a fascinating addition in and of itself. Now let us hope Riot can agree on a final name for the item as Preseason approaches.
