Riot Games, renowned for its extensive collection of League of Legends champion skins released over the past decade, continues to captivate players with exciting plans for 2024.
In a recent season preview video, the development team at Riot unveiled lots of expectations for us to look out for, emphasizing the return of beloved skin themes and the introduction of two new captivating universes: Heavenscale and Primal Ambush.
The Heavenscale thematic, set to debut around February in celebration of the Lunar New Year, promises a departure from contemporary styles. Instead, it will showcase beautiful designs inspired by “ancient historical divinities,” offering players a unique and culturally rich aesthetic.
On the other hand, the Primal Ambush universe seamlessly blends the fierce world of martial arts with the majestic power of ‘primal’. With carefully selected color schemes and designs, Primal Ambush pays homage to the Southeast Asian regions, promising an immersive and visually striking experience.
In addition to these new universes, Riot is set to revive three existing skin lines: Faerie Court, Blood Moon, and the ever-popular PROJECT line.
Faerie Court, introduced last year with Winged Reign, enchanted players with its magical designs for champions like Milio.
Blood Moon, a beloved skin line since its inception in 2016 with Yasuo, has evolved into a complete Moons of Ionia universe, incorporating Snow Moon skins into its lore. The PROJECT universe, with its Cyber Pop, PROJECT, and Program skins, continues to flourish, featuring an impressive roster of 31 champions.
Excitingly, Riot also revealed plans for Prestige skins during the first half of 2024, set to drop for Rakan, Ezreal, Kindred, Evelynn, and Kayle in that specific order. The second half of the year will bring another set of Prestige skins, with details to be shared as the year progresses.
These developments underscore Riot Games’ commitment to delivering fresh, engaging content for the League of Legends community, ensuring that players have a diverse array of captivating experiences throughout the year.
