Riot Games is changing Sylas ultimate

If you’re a big fan of playing League of Legends, chances are you’ve run into some issues with Sylas and his ability to steal other champions’ ultimates. Riot Games is working hard to fix these problems, but it might take a while.

Sylas is unique because his ultimate lets him use the ultimates of other champions. This makes him a tricky opponent for many other champions in the game.

One player on Reddit pointed out that his ultimate works differently depending on which champion’s ultimate he steals. For example, if he steals Vayne’s ultimate, he can turn invisible. But if he steals Nasus or Illaoi’s ultimate, there’s no cooldown reduction on his abilities, which seems unfair.

Riot Norak, who works at Riot Games, said he really doesn’t like these inconsistencies and that the team is working hard to fix them. They’ve already got a fix planned for one of the issues involving Sylas and Ahri’s ultimate in the upcoming 14.9 patch. After that, they’ll gradually go through all 168 champions to sort out any problems with his ultimate.

Norak explained that a big part of the problem is that many ultimates weren’t designed with the champion in mind. They were made to work with the specific champions’ kits, not with Sylas stealing them. This means his ultimate might not work well with some ultimates that don’t have abilities that scale with AP.

The developer also thinks that he could be made a bit weaker in other areas to balance out his powerful ultimate ability. This would make him more consistent and fun to play overall.

Even though Sylas has had some rough patches in the past, he’s currently doing okay in ranked matches, especially in the top and mid lanes. However, his win rate in the jungle is a bit below average, according to stats from U.GG.
