An alternative League of Legends World Championship anthem for the 2021 competition, “Heroes,” by musician Simon Rosenfeld, was released lately. Riot Games, however, vehemently denied having any communication with the artist in a formal statement provided to Dot Esports.
We love community creations and fan tributes and wish him the best of luck, but Riot Games Music has never had any contact with Rosenfeld

The musician revealed what he claimed to be a collaboration with Riot in an article on PCGamesN and recounted how the alternated song was even removed after he tried to share it. Additionally, this week Rosenfeld published a thread on his Twitter account about how Riot “canceled” the release of his song “Heroes.”
The musician provided a thorough chronology of events, stating that before the end of 2020, he and his group “got in touch with Riot Games to propose a song” for the 2021 World Championship. Riot “approved the song,” according to Rosenfeld, and he and his group “signed” with the publisher. However, “Burn it all Down” finally prevailed as the 2022 Worlds anthem, and according to Rosenfeld, he was informed that the music he contributed to would “probably” be used then. But when it became clear that this would not be the case, the artist decided to resolve the situation on his own.
I’ve explored my options, Riot has paid us for our work and they are 100% in their legal right to not release the song. But it’s not about the law, it’s about morals. I feel played and I feel like I have let down my own team. So I’ve decided to release the song by myself.

Rosenfeld has posted “Heroes” on a new YouTube account despite the possibility of having the song removed yet again.
