Riot teased commemorative emote after April Fools’ League of Legends

Riot teased at April Fools Emote after the Event

A few days ago, League of Legends Summoner’s Rift map was updated to honour April Fools’ Day, which also included a few cute skins. The event has now concluded, and Riot Games producer Yasuna has asked for community feedback of the April Fools in a recent Reddit post.

Players had conflicting feelings about the Rioter’s remark, saying they would have wanted to know they would receive a reward for taking part in this year’s April Fools’ Day event.

A commemorative summoner icon would’ve been nice, I look back on my icons and it helps me remember the events years later. Like the Draven Draven icon that was available for 1 IP during the 2016 April Fools event, where everyone including minions had a Draven Draven head.”

Yasuna hinted in the remarks that there “may or may not be a commemorative emote coming soon” for players who took part in the time-limited event.

April Fools’ Day emotes are common rewards for finishing missions or simply participating in those brief events. They generally allude to skinlines associated with those holidays or the URF (Ultra Rapid Fire) game mode, which was originally developed for April Fools’ Day. It’s unknown what the emote will symbolise or when it’ll be available to League players.

This year’s April Fools’ Day event included a few amusing additions to the Rift’s. It featured the mascot Stabby Crabby. It also introduced Hexgates to improve movement and moves around the map, as well as random groups of assisting Poros, silly hats, and Tower Emotes. Overall, player response was favourable.
