Riot announced almost every Legendary item are getting nerfed in 2024

Riot Games is making significant changes to most tank items and nerfing the majority of Legendary items in League of Legends.

As Preseason 2025 approaches, Riot has shared details about some upcoming adjustments. These changes include not just updates to champions like Swain and Aphelios, who will receive long-awaited modifications, but also a rework to the bounty system, which will now be based on players’ gold.

Additionally, Teleport is set to undergo some major changes. However, the most intriguing shift might be the overhaul of items in the game.

For the past few months, Legendary items has been a widely discussed issue. A large portion of the League of Legends community believes these items are currently too powerful. Interestingly, Riot Games has acknowledged this feedback and agrees with the players’ concerns.

Although Riot previously tried to revamp items in 2020 and again at the beginning of Season 14, these efforts fell short of expectations. But it seems Riot is making another attempt, and this time they are focusing on reducing the power level of most Legendary items.

In a recent video titled “An Update on Some Projects,” Riot Phreak provided a glimpse into the changes coming to League of Legends, including significant adjustments to Legendary items.
