Riot Games: Changes to Battle Pass progress make players’ experience horrible

The new progression that Riot Games applies is receiving a lot of criticism from the League community

As Season 12 progressed, Riot decided to mix up the battle pass system’s missions and progressions. This was implemented with the new Debonair event, which began on December 9.

Basically, instead of receiving points after each game, you will earn them through playing time to a certain milestone to receive event points. In addition, the special weekly tasks to receive more points also disappear completely. This makes the number of points that players earn will be much less than before.

Instead of collecting points after each game, you will earn playing time until you reach a set milestone to gain event points. Furthermore, the unique weekly assignments for earning extra points are no longer available. As a result, the number of event points earned by gamers will be significantly lower than previously.

Because of how long it now takes to attain in-game objectives, players viewed the new system progression as “greedy”. It also upset fans when they discovered Riot was secretly resetting their event progress.

Problems have only gotten worse, as fans have discovered even more problems after engaging in the new progression

Due to the number of points they’re earning, fans like Reddit user Fillia on the official League of Legends subreddit have had a “miserable” experience.

Players no longer gain tokens after each game under the new system. Instead, they must gain 400 points. Once players gain the 400 points they’ll be granted 20 tokens. This is then performed several times.

Obviously, this adjustment is highly unfavorable for players because it will take a long time to accumulate enough event points to swap for a Brand skin. The event experience is also exceedingly awful since, as previously stated, Riot has removed the player collecting points after each match. Even when players shared their thoughts on Reddit, the post was removed in order to neglect the above-mentioned negative experience.

Riot Games, hopefully, will listen to the community and make acceptable improvements to the events progression as a result of this awful debut.

Perhaps they should accelerate the completion of the progression so that the time it takes to acquire things from the shop is comparable to past events.
