After the criticism from the community, Immortal Journey Kayle underwent a few adjustments.
Every time League of Legends got a new patch, Riot releases new skins. The idea includes increasing the number of skins for various champions. Adding new themes and connecting them to current events would be another improvement.
The situation is not entirely pretty however, since backlashes from League community is developing. Riot continues to introduce skins, but the community is beginning to see it as more of a money grab. Particularly in some skinline, several of the skins share similarities. For the upcoming Immortal Journey skin line, this case has come up once more.
Players have expressed concern over the new Immortal Journey Kayle’s skin. Due to its resemblance to Lunar Empress Ashe, the skin has caused criticism. The female figures in these skins, which are based on Chinese mythology, have remarkably similar looks. But in this case, it was eerily identical.
As a result, the community had a lot to say, and Riot has now made several adjustments.
Riot makes changes to Immortal Journey Kayle
According to the Reddit thread, the icon and skin model have both undergone a few minor adjustments:
- Removing the red forehead mark
- Tweaking the hair shape (left side/bangs higher, not exactly middle-parted)
- Changing her earring (yes even the earrings were similar to Ashe’s)
The skin model also reflects each of these alterations. Riot making improvements is a good thing, although the modifications are not really substantial. Therefore, Lunar Empress Ashe’s skin still has a comparable appearance.
In these themes of skins, the face structures of the majority of the female characters are becoming more and more similar to each other, particularly like the typical Asian gacha characters. So, until Riot decides to make any significant improvements, this issue will continue to arise. Let’s wait and watch how this plays out within the community.
