Riot Games is suing Imba Games for legally copyrights relating to Teamfight Tactics
I Am Hero is a hex-based hero fighter with more than a passing resemblance to Riot’s auto battler Teamfight Tactics. It is also one of the hottest names on the gaming forum lately due to the act of blatantly copying everything from character design to the plots of characters in the League of Legends universe.
I Am Hero: AFK Tactical Teamfight and Teamfight Tactics have a lot in common, according to fans. It’s hardly unexpected that Riot has retaliated.
The complaint contains comparisons between TFT and Imba’s I Am Hero versions of League of Legends champions, including one concentrating on Teemo. Tomee, a character from I Am Hero, has a similar look and narrative that appears to be duplicated word for word from Teemo.
The character description is almost an exact copy of the original. Not only that but the skill is accused of being a “clone” of the corporation because it lacks the resources to update.
Riot Games filed the complaint because of the striking resemblance between characters from 2 different games. Riot Games filed a lawsuit in California to stop Imba Technology from allegedly copying its works with $150,000 for each incident of suspected copyright violation.
Riot Games isn’t the first company to file a lawsuit against another for copyrighting their works. Tencent Holdings, the parent company of Riot Games, has previously sued Moontoon for its MOBA game Mobile Legends.
