Following extensive testing, Riot Games has officially announced the introduction of new Bot difficulties in Patch 14.6 of League of Legends.
Throughout this year, Riot has been actively working to enhance various aspects of League of Legends gameplay. They’ve introduced new items, objectives, and made other adjustments to Summoner’s Rift. While many updates are implemented, Riot has also been focusing on system improvements.
One area Riot has revisited is the Bot system. In 2023, they introduced new bot difficulties on the PBE server, which garnered valuable feedback and insights. After analyzing the data, Riot has made significant improvements to the technology, leading to its release on the live servers.
The latest Developer Update from Riot reveals that the new Bots will be available in March. Following extensive testing on the PBE server in September, Riot has addressed numerous bugs, and improved movements, actions, and more.
With these updates, Bots will mimic players more closely in terms of basic gameplay mechanics. They’ll actively engage in map objectives, jungle activities, and lane rotations, enhancing the Co-op Versus AI experience across Intro, Beginner, and Advanced skill levels.
These enhancements aim to attract new players to the game and facilitate their learning process, thereby improving player retention, which is crucial for multiplayer games.
Riot has also committed to ongoing improvements, including bug fixes, adding new Bots to Custom games, enhancing tutorials, and more. For detailed information, players can refer to Riot’s official announcement.
The new system are set to be included in Patch 14.6, scheduled for release on March 20, 2024.
