Nexus Blitz is a famous League of Legends game mode that hasn’t been in the game since 2021, and the game’s community is pleading for its return.
Riot revealed Nexus Blitz future in League of Legends
Nexus Blitz fans were disappointed today when Riot Games devs announced that the cancelled League of Legends mode’s unexpected debut in client options earlier this week was just a malfunction.
Riot global community manager Riru delivered terrible news on August 15, stating that in their rush to allow ARAM Clash, Riot also enabled Nexus Blitz. Players who were fortunate enough to notice the problem attempted to queue for the popular mode, but because no servers were online, they were promptly sent to the home page.
Riru may have just confirmed Riot wants to bring back Nexus Blitz in the midst of informing fans it was a glitch.
“Nexus Blitz isn’t ready right now,”
Riru stated in answer to a query regarding whether the mode is returning, which some League players interpreted as Riot’s devs are already working on enhancing the popular game mode and waiting for its return.
The emphasis at Riot then shifted to the creation of League Arena, and given the great popularity of the new deathmatch mode, it’s evident that fans want variety in how they play League of Legends.
Many players love the new Arena and wish Riot will integrate many new features to it, allowing them to enjoy even more. Others lamented for modes lost to time, like as Ascension, and how the weekly rotator kept League up-to-date.
The League’s massive fanbase can undoubtedly support the return of these modes, but plans to bring back are currently on hold.
While fans wait for Nexus Blitz’s inevitable return, they may appease some of their free time with ARAM Clash activated and available this weekend, while League Arena game mode ends on August 28.
