The “advice” coming from Riot Games Support is raising some community concerns.
On 28th November, The Riot Games Support department created a displeased situation when giving out advice on Twitter. The story here is: Guts is a Master Tier player and he is wondering when he only gains 13 while winning and loses 26 when he loses. As a result, Spaghett – a member of that team told him: “Hey again, as I’ve mentioned, it will take a couple of games. Sadly we don’t have an exact number. Also do keep in mind that the ranked season ended a while ago, so no point into playing on ranked queues :D”.
Even though Guts neither felt angry at all nor he responded aggressively, the community was different. How can a response that is coming from a supportive member from Riot be way too unnecessary, pointless, and unhelpful?
Our Reddit user u/jokerdofy created a post that had attracted up to 20.000 upvotes in only a few hours. His post also received tons of comments all over the community.
Immortals Support player Destiny also left a question mark for this answer.
Even the raked season in 2020 has ended, it doesn’t make playing raned queues pointless. Winning in the Preseason 2021 can mean many different things from improving your hidden ELO/MMR when the new season begins, getting used to the new meta that is always changing day by day, or simply just to improve your personal skill and experience.
We can understand and sympathize that Spaghett meant no harm. It’s simply because the Season just ends and he wants the community doesn’t be to harsh about the LP Gain/Loss system. After that problem, quickly after that, another employee – Shiba also added another comment to quickly cover and furthermore, to apologize for what they said earlier.
