Riot Games has unveiled their latest content, revealing that Renekton will be the recipient of the Worlds 2023 skin.
As we approach the end of the esports calendar year, with Worlds 2023 scheduled to kick off in October, it’s become a tradition for a League of Legends champion to be chosen as the representative for the annual Worlds skin line.
Worlds Unlocked Box with Worlds 2023 Renekton
Last year, Azir was chosen to be the recipient for the skin line. This year, that honor goes to Renekton. The Worlds skin line is a limited-edition collection that celebrates the most significant League of Legends esports event of the year, and these skins can only be purchased during the tournament.
Renekton’s Worlds 2023 skin continues the blue and gold theme of the skin line, but it also incorporates some blood-red on his tail and weapon. Notably, Worlds 2023 Renekton features a unique recall animation where the champion breathes blue fire in the pattern of the Summoner’s Cup.
Additionally, the announcement of Renekton’s Worlds 2023 skin was made earlier today in connection with the “Worlds Unlocked” merchandise box, which is a limited-edition crate packed with new merchandise and rewards. Players who purchase the Worlds Unlocked box will receive Worlds 2023 Renekton (along with the chroma), the Worlds event pass, and one of the game’s past Worlds skins.
The Worlds Unlocked box also includes various other merchandise items like a Worlds Teemo statue, a Worlds Tibbers plush, a Worlds baseball cap, as well as several in-game emotes and summoner icons.
While there’s no specific release date for the skin at this time, given that Worlds is set to start on October 9, it’s highly likely that the skin will be available for purchase before that date and will likely cost 1,350 RP, in line with the pricing of previous Worlds skins.
