Riot has started high MMR moderation tests on League of Legends NA server

In terms of player satisfaction, League of Legends has always been a chaotic game. While the game is pleasant and fun, many of the players are not. The level of griefing and toxicity in games is a major issue till these days.

We have already witnessed a new anti-toxic conduct mechanism that has been developed by Riot to automatically mute players. There are also measures in place for reporting players during the draft or reducing LP loss for AFK players. However, the greater issue continues to be a thorn in the game’s side.

Riot Auberaun has introduced a High MMR Moderation Trial mechanism to solve griefing and win trading difficulties. So far, here’s what we know.

The High MMR Moderation Tests

The entire discussion began a month ago with a Reddit comment from Riot Auberaun regarding establishing a High MMR Moderation. Moving forward in time, Auberaun posted about the trials coming to the NA servers on his Twitter.

Auberaun begins by stating that evaluations will begin this week and that reporting is encouraged since this is how Riot will handle concerns. Furthermore, for League Partner Programs (LPP), a direct reporting mechanism is provided, and 70% of the reports have been addressed.

Furthermore, because streamers use the LPP, Riot Auberaun stated that streamers will not be able to take unfair advantage of the system by falsely reporting people. He also underlined that playing poor games is not prohibited, and he encouraged everyone to be polite to one another.

Finally, Auberaun has stated that if the system is effective, it will be expanded to other servers.

Riot has taken a significant step forward in addressing the concerns of griefing and win trading. Because reporting is such an important aspect of the system, players must pitch in to make it function.

Hopefully, the system will yield some high expectations, and we will eventually be able to have such a system in all games to prevent negative conduct.
