Previously the entire GAM Esports KR accounts were banned due to toxicity by 2 of their players during Spring split. No games played on these accounts for 4 months.
The impact of these bans cannot be understated
Not only will VCS lose access to the most stacked solo queue server but they will also be unable to scrim internationally as those are mostly hosted on KR servers.
GAM esports after going 14-0 (28-2) in the groups and won 3-1 in the finals during Spring, has been going 4-3 (10-8) in VCS Summer after getting banned.
It is unknown what triggered the ban, and Riot KR has not made any announcements as of the writing this post.
Although several VCS pros have been banned for toxicity and inappropriate behavior, there is hardly a reason to justify banning the entire region for it and it is unfair to ban players with appropriate conduct alongside the bad apples.
And Riot KR has not had a good track record of making reasonable decisions, like Cowsep’s ban after he calls out toxicity in KR server or the recent KR streamer ban after she was killed 121 times by haters in-game.
