Riot is looking for a League director who will be responsible for storytelling Runeterra

Riot Games seems to be aiming to grow its production team around League of Legends and other Runeterra-inspired projects

Riot’s head League studio, Andrei “Meddler” van Roon, has posted a new job description on Twitter. According to Meddler, the gaming company is searching for a creative director for League of Legends who will mainly work on “storytelling/worldbuilding” inside the massive Runeterra region, along with branding and styling it.

In a second tweet, Meddler outlined the prospective director’s responsibilities.

He stated that the person will be working with teams in charge of Arcane, Legends of Runeterra, forthcoming new games, and other projects. He also mentioned that game development experience is required for this position due to its qualifications.

“It’s a role the includes a lot of partnership work with other teams working in the IP too, like Arcane, Legends of Runeterra, upcoming new games and more. Looking for someone with significant experience doing similar work, with significant exposure to the IP already a major bonus.”

According to the job description, the recruited individual would be responsible for a variety of responsibilities. They include developing a long-term, coherent, conceptual plan for the game, which would include close contact with the executive producer and game director.

Riot Games is taking the offer seriously and has a set of requirements that must be satisfied before an applicant can be evaluated.

This job demonstrates Riot’s dedication to improving Runeterra’s mythology and correctly extending its ever-increasing realm.

Keep in mind that this is a separate job from the game director positions a while back. Thus, the possibilities for Riot to develop projects based on these contents are as close as ever.
