Miss Fortune’s crit build has been considerably strengthened in order to pull her away from the existing lethality build. Riot, on the other hand, appears to have gone too far
Miss Fortune’s win rate skyrocketed following her buffs, prompting a hotfix nerf just hours after patch 12.17 went live. Riot is reversing some of the adjustments and focuses on her W, Strut.
Currently, the only viable way to play Miss Fortune in League of Legends is with her lethality build, but Riot wasn’t pleased with the build. The devs utilized the most recent update to try to make her attack speed build more feasible by buffing it.
Unfortunately, those buffs got a little out of hand, as her win rate rose from 52.21% to more than 54% in a day, with nearly double the pick rate — up to nearly 25%, according to League statistics OP.GG.
Miss Fortune nerfs in mid-patch 12.17
W: Strut
- Bonus attack speed: 50/65/80/95/110% >>> 40/55/70/85/100%
- Mana: 35 >>> 45
Riot was forced to nerf Miss Fortune mere hours after patch 12.17 went live.
The new nerfs are primarily directed against Miss Fortune’s W, Strut. The extra attack speed on triggering is reduced by 10% at all ranks, and the mana cost increases by 10 to 45.
It’s also a rollback of one of the modifications made in patch 12.17, although her Q, Double Up, remains unaltered. This was the primary goal of the buffs, and with the cast time now back on track, her kit should feel easier to use despite the patch.
