Incoming changes in healing may bring many differences to League of Legends in Season 2021
Recently, Riot has disclosed their plans in fixing healing abilities, these changes will maybe make many players unpleasant. The reason is they are going to enhance healing effects instead of nerfing them.
For a long time, fans of League of Legends has disagreed with 2 mechanisms: buff damage and additional healing. Because of that, developers decided to balance those stats in the near future. In players’ side, additional healing is so broken that they can not deal with it due to lack of counter items and Champions.
This issue becomes more and more serious at the Pre Season 2021. Conqueror and Triump Runes are so popular because it is essential in order to increase the healing effect of many Champions. Besides, reworking or fixing healing items make this mechanism become more broken.
In responding to players, Riot’s representative – Kevin ‘Captain Gameplay’ Huang officially announced that they would not nerf healing, but they would fix it in next season 2021.
“Heal is a core and natural mechanism in League of Legends (and actually in most games where units have health). Regeneration and gameplay building around this ability should be given more attention and attention than to reducing their power.” – said Captain Gameplay
But they will also balance the anti-healing effects from items, such as Thornmail and Executioner’s Calling, in order to balance the game.
