When the mid-to-late game gets around, Lillia will still be a great threat.
Lillia, as known as League of Legends’ resident Bashful Bloom in the jungle, has built a reputation for herself in both pro and solo queue play. Riot Games, however, has revealed certain tweaks for the champion to draw some power back of her early game to create a place for increased durability and late game power.
Daniel “Maxw3ll” Emmons, the game designer, provided the players a general overview of some of the proposed changes, which included giving her passive ability a regeneration effect while dealing damage-over-time, as well as gaining higher base damage and an AP scaler.
The devs, on the other hand, plan to reduce the amount of movement speed Lillia gains from her Blooming Blows ability in the early game, while also increasing the cooldown on her Swirlseed. Her ability to whack people with her Q and then dance at her higher pace made her incredibly irritating to deal with pre-level 6. Her ultimate, Lilting Lullaby, will also be nerfed, but the details have yet to be revealed.
These changes aim to make her more popular in solo queues, rather than just being a pro play champion. According to Champion.GG, Lillia currently has a 42.7 percent win rate in ranks Platinum and above, but she was one of the most played junglers in the LCS, LEC, LPL, and LCK during the 2021 Spring Split. By increasing her durability, early game clears will be much more forgiving for players that are as effective with her movement speed and damage.
During the beginning of the 2021 Summer Split in the major regions, Lillia didn’t see much play, with jungles like Rumble, Xin Zhao and Udyr once again being more a priority. It would be fascinating to see if these changes improve her solo queue success rate once the adjustments take effect.
