Many new features are coming with the 2023 mid-season update, called Patch 13.10. First, several items in the game are being reworked or adjusted. modifications to champions affected by item modifications are also being implemented. In addition, new items are also being reintroduced to the game.

In addition, certain in-game systems are undergoing considerable adjustments. Turret changes are one of these key alterations.

Turret changes in patch 13.10

One of the greatest issues since the introduction of Turret Plating was that it allowed the team to snowball very hard by rushing down the lane to earn Turret Plating gold. With Rift Herald, a team may swiftly rush down one with numbers and gain a lot of gold and early advantages.

Riot attempted to compensate by introducing Plate Rushdown Resistances, but this was plainly insufficient. The resistances were too low and insufficient, still allowing players to easily push down a lane to get the turret plating.

Riot is so raising resistances by a factor of 45 during mid-season, which is considerable. Rushing down a turret should be much more tough with the significantly increased resistance, making snowballing much more difficult.

The turret modifications will be implemented on live servers with patch 13.10, which is set to be released on May 17, 2023.
