T1 Mercilessly Destroyed Gen.G On Their Way Back To Their Prime

T1 mowed Gen.G over in their 5 most recent encounters in League Championship Korea (LCK)

Despite having a sloppy start in LCK 2020 Summer, T1 is regaining their momentum to secure their precious throne. On July 3th, T1 won 2 – 0 against Gen.G in their first rematch since LCK 2020 Spring playoffs 2020 Final. To date, Faker’s team has beaten Gen. G five times consecutively since KeSPA Cup LoL in 31st December, 2019.

The 1st game showed cautious measures taken by both teams, with only 3 kills at the 37 minutes mark. The outcome was decided at the Elder Dragon pit where T1 ace’d Gen.G, thus winning the game. Teddy, the marksman player was the MVP with Aphelios and a clean K/D/A of 5/0/2.

The fate of this game is sealed right in the champion select – the ordeal ended in 25 minutes. Faker’s Twisted Fate had a remarkable K/D/A of 6/0/9, while Teddy also had 6 kills on his scoreboard.

Both team are now holding the 3rd place on LCK 2020 Summer Standings, but most importantly – T1 had seen a resurrection after their previous two repeated defeats before DRX and DAMWON Gaming.

Both T1 and Gen.G are holding the third place on LCK 2020 Summer Standings board.

Despite this auspicious news, the three-time Worlds Champion still needs more effort put into their struggle to become the champion of LCK for the 10th time – along with the ticket to Worlds 2020. Their performance at Mid-Season Cup 2020 was a disaster, as the team was steamrolled by Chinese Pro teams.

Faker, along with his teammates, are in an urgent need of improvement in mechanics and strategies, should they desire to lift the Summoner’s Cup for the 4th time.
