If T1 were to ‘disband’, who would leave the team? This player might surprise you

A few days ago, Gumayusi continued to share the scenario that T1 could potentially disband its current lineup after the conclusion of the 2023 season

Previously, T1’s AD Carry also mentioned that this could be the last season for the current roster, so he wants to secure the 2023 World Championship title as an ending for this lineup.

Of course, this has been predicted for a long time. But let’s not discuss whether T1 can win Worlds 2023 or not; the question of who will stay and who will leave is causing much debate in the League of Legends community in general and among fans in particular.

Faker

It would be highly unreasonable to suggest that Faker would leave T1 after the 2023 season. He is currently under contract with the company until 2025, and, moreover, Faker is the heart and soul of the team.

This was evident when Faker took a temporary break from competitive play due to injury. Surely, Faker will remain committed to T1, and the team itself will do everything to retain him.

Zeus

Zeus has always had a weakness, which is his poor mental state when entering finals. However, in all matches leading up to the finals, Zeus shines as a star. Furthermore, his weakness is simply a psychological issue. Therefore, Zeus is likely to stay. Moreover, in the current state of LCK, Zeus is a potential top laner, and T1 certainly does not want to lose this valuable gem.

Oner

After the LCK Spring 2022 season, Oner’s performance worsen drastically. When his form dips, not even his signature champions can shine in Oner’s hands. Nevertheless, the likelihood of Oner leaving is quite low as he is under contract until 2024. At the moment, it would be difficult for any team to financially break his contract.

Gumayusi

Gumayusi is the most stable performer on T1, even outshining Faker in many cases. However, he has become the center of criticism for a single lapse in judgment in the finals against Gen.G. Furthermore, Gumayusi frequently talks about parting ways, so it has been speculated that if T1 does not proactively offer or win the 2023 World Championship, Gumayusi is likely to leave.

Keria

Keria, whose contract also expires at the same time as Gumayusi and Zeus, is another key player. T1 support prodigy has gone through several consecutive seasons without winning a title. But if Gumayusi leaves T1, it is highly likely that Keria will also choose to, too.

Although Keria can synergize well with many players, whether he stays or not depends on his and the team’s choices.

Whether the current lineup disbands or not, and who will leave, there will undoubtedly be many changes at T1 at the end of 2023. Whether things will improve or worsen depends on the team’s performance at the upcoming Worlds 2023.
