T1 Keria becomes the first MVP support player in LCK history

The LCK has announced its LCK Spring awards, and the latest league MVP, T1 support Keria, who will represent the league in the 2022 Spring Split

Keria has become the first support player to be voted MVP in the South Korean League of Legends tournament, LCK. Keria helped T1 in achieving a flawless split in his third split with the club. It was the first time in LCK history that a team ended an LCK split undefeated with a score of 18-0. All-LCK awards were handed to his teammates, with four of T1’s five starters chosen to the first All-LCK team.

Not to mention the T1 duo, Gumayusi and Keria, who are crucial to the team’s success. Along with their 18-0 record, they also created history by breaking the league’s records for most kills and assists in a regular season.

While Gumayusi concluded the split with an astounding 219 kills, breaking yet another kill record, Keria has been probably the best player in the LCK during the split and has established himself as one of the best players for the LCK’s MVP award.

Keria broke the all-time LCK record for most assists in a single split this spring, breaking a mark that had stood for almost seven seasons. Wolf, a longtime SK Telecom T1 support, previously held the position. His 462 assists broke Wolf’s previous record of 445 assists. Furthermore, T1 support and this season’s T1 roster exceeded the previous record of match victories in a split set by SKT in 2015; having won 17 games in a single LCK season.

Only junglers and mid laners have received LCK MVP honors since the 2019 Spring Split. Keria is the first LCK supporter to be named MVP.

The 2022 LCK Spring Split playoffs will be back on March 23 with more excitement awaiting ahead.
