Teamfight Tactics: Mobile version of the TFT will be released before May 2020

Among the projects launched on the occasion of League of Legends’ 10th birthday, Riot announced that his Auto Chess mode – TFT will also have a mobile version in the near future.

2 months after announcing so far, we have not got any news. The little piece of information we know is that the TFT mobile will appear in early 2020.

While another product, LoL: Wild Rift has its first information and gameplay videos, the TFT Mobile is still well hidden by Riot Games. However, recently in a stream with fans, Stephen “Mortdog” Mortimer – chief designer of the Arena of Truth has said that the TFT mobile will definitely appear before May 31, 2020.

Prior to the official launch, Riot will allow limit testing before releasing the official version on iOS and Android devices. In particular, TFT Mobile will support multi-platform with the original version on the PC. Players will still be able to experience all the content in Season 2 of the CCP called “Rise of the Elements”.

TFT is a round-based strategy game that pits you against seven opponents in a free-for-all race to build a powerful team that fights on your behalf. Your goal: Be the last person standing.

Teamfight Tactics is a multiplayer game developed by Riot Games. Initially, it was part of the League of Legends game released on June 29, 2019 on Windows and macOS platforms. The mobile version will be released in 2020 on Android and iOS

Is there a big difference between this mode and the original Dota Auto Chess?

In the beginning when we were thinking about TFT development, we had to consider the player’s experience with it – fun or competitive? We also had to consider it a little, but then decided it would be “fun competition”

How and Why We’re Making Teamfight Tactics

Recently, we’ve been trying different kinds of modes that are deep and unique additions to the League experience. TFT is our next big exploration in that space and the first time we’re jumping into a different genre. We’ve always loved strategy games and recently we’ve gotten into the new auto-battler genre—folks around the office have been playing an insane amount of Dota Auto Chess in particular. We love it, and it actually got us inspired to create something new as a mode in League.

We’re building this one with you. TFT’s initial launch is a beta, so expect it to be a work in progress as we work all of the kinks out. Every step of the way we’ll be listening closely to your experiences and feedback, so please let us know what you think. For our part, we’ll be in frequent contact via dev articles, updates and patch notes

Part of treating this like a Real Grown Up Game Mode means we’ll support it with cool metagame features. That includes ranked. You can expect to see the ranked for TFT start up around patch 9.14. At that point, we should be in a good spot with bugs and initial game balance.
