League of Legends streamer Ashkan “TF Blade” Homayouni, famous for his global search for rank one on the leaderboards, has just parted way with Team Liquid.
Liquid Co-CEO Steve Arhancet today shared a heart-rending Twitter video about the organization’s mutual separation with TF Blade. According to the organization, TF Blade was “integrated” well into the Liquid team community.
TF Blade, also known as the substitute top lane player for both the main and academy rosters of Team Liquid, was one of the most successful solo queues League players to date. He has reached Challenger, the highest rank in the game in multi-servers worldwide, which including North America, Latin America, the North East, Europe West, and Korea.
While the remarkable achievements of TF Blade did not go through without controversy in solo queue. Earlier in March, when he was banned from the Korean solo queue for perceived toxicity, he said he felt “genuinely targeted by Riot.”
Earlier this July, he was excluded from the League Partner Program (LPP) because, according to Riot, he did not make the ‘necessary improvements.’ His status will be checked for possible reinstatement next year.
However, this should not lower the talent of TF Blade as he is still known to be one of the greatest solo queue players ever. The 21-year-old didn’t play a competitive game with Team Liquid but participated in multiple Twitch Rivals and Championship competitions hosted by fellow streamer Tyler1 after joining the organization in 2018.
