TFT Mid-Set 8.5 updates are beginning to roll out early in Patch 13.5

With the release of TFT Set 8.5, the first part of Teamfight Tactics Set Eight Monsters’ Attack! will come to an end in March

Before the Mid-Set update, Riot Games is releasing significant updates to Teamfight Tactics, including new orb and item distribution changes, as well as an odds chart for Hero Augment rerolls at Stages 3-2 and 4-2.

Monsters’ Attack! Set Eight’s first half will come to an end in March, and Set 8.5 will go live through Patch 13.6. But thanks to Patch 13.5, a number of adjustments that were supposed to debut with TFT Set 8.5 have already begun. Both the distribution adjustments for items and Hero Augments, which were revealed by game creator Stephen “Mortdog” Mortimer, are active on the PBE and will be applied to the live servers soon.

According to Mortdog, several TFT Set Eight Hero Augments did not have the appropriate tags after the Hero Augment Reroll modification was implemented through Patch 13.3, and players still believed that the Stage 3-2 and 4-2 Armories were not uniformly tailored enough.

The tag problem was fixed in Patch 13.4, and Patch 13.5 will add a new Hero Augment distribution chart based on current characteristics for Armories at Stages 3-2 and 4-2:

The team is working on expense distribution in addition to the new active trait odds. Three-cost Hero Augments are now less frequent at Stages 2-1 and 4-2, and Stage 2-1 Hero Augment Armories will continue to be entirely random. Additionally, Stages 3-2 and 4-2 Hero Augment Armories “will never be all the same tier” beginning with TFT Set 8.5 and continuing through Patch 13.6, according to Mortdog.

TFT Item distribution changes

In TFT Patch 13.5, some improvements are made to the initial reward method that was introduced in Patch 9.18. After the new adjustments, all players in a lobby will receive an identical amount of items moving forward. Each lobby’s basic item allocation will be rolled to make sure that no user has fewer than one or two things from the other players.

These computations will also apply to bonus orbs, so a person who has one or two fewer items than the rest of the lobby may be able to make up the difference through bonus orbs. Additionally, each participant will roughly receive the same benefits from their bonus spheres within a lobby.

All modifications made by Patch 13.5 are currently live on PBEs and will stay so until the TFT Set 8.5 Mid-Set update.
