Riot Games’ Teamfight Tactics will be replaced by heroes and villains in Set 8: Monsters Attack! with new Augments and mechanisms that look and feel extremely different from Dragonlands.
On November 1, with the reveal of Set 8 Monsters Attack!, the TFT roadmap for 2022 to 2023 was broadly set. Patch 12.23 marks the formal launch of the set. The roadmap video also showed off some of the new units and traits that will be available.
With the addition of Monsters Attack!, Augments become the core mechanism of the game, while also bringing back several fan-favorite themes such as Star Guardians and Mech. The roadmap displayed in the video includes some estimated dates for a future event including a new game mode.
All TFT Set 8 units and traits confirmed so far
TFT’s game design director Stephen “Mortdog” Mortimer remarked on some trait and champion news, and although only mentioning a handful of them, the backdrop videos indicate a substantial chunk of the units that will be accessible.
This list was created based on the TFT Dev Drop video and is subject to change as additional information becomes available. While certain units may be seen fighting opponents on the boards while their mechanics are taught, others are drawn from the descriptions of Hero Augments, which buff specific champions.
